The Last Days of Summer
So as the final days of summer (ok, if you want to know the truth I'd say now really is the fall) are passing quickly, I thought I'd share a pic of a nice walk to had with my girls this afternoon. It was a beautiful day here in Washington, and you couldn't ask for a better time!!!
To add to the excitement of my day, the Everett Herald ran an article about my journey with Creating Keepsake's Scrapbooker of the Year contest! It was a full page article in the Travel & Leisure section. You can see a copy of the article here: http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20070909/LIVING05/109090025
A wonderful girl from the CK Message Board tipped off the paper, thanks again HockeyGal (Kristi)!!!
Photo Challenge:
For the waning days of summer... grab your camera and get a few more shots of the last of summer activities... some of my favorites from today... Torrey jumping and splashing in a puddle of water in the grass, taking a walk with the family, playing on the swing set, lounging on lawn chairs and swimming.

Hi Noel, great article in the paper! How fun! I'm crossing my fingers for you & Vegas. :)
Wow what a perfect photo!
How come I never found your blog before... I lurk around the CKMB all the time.. Haha!
Hey! I just found you! Congratulations on SOY and best wishes to you as you get ready to head to Vegas! Also, you're in Washington...I had no idea (I'm in Vancouver, WA)!
Anyway, just wanted to wish you well and let you know I'm rooting for you!
I love your picture and the layout with brother... and that was a great article in the paper!
Good Luck in Vegas!
What a cool article....thanks for the sacrifices you make and for your husbands job in the US Military, it is not easy! Rob was in the Army for 4 years, deployed to Iraq twice and we didn't resign, it was too hard. So, you used to paint with oils? Will you show us something you painted??
