Wishes for the New Year

Happy New Year! I hope you had a fabulous Christmas season filled with family, friends and memories. Having my husband home for Christmas for the first time in 3 years was truly a blessing for our family. I tried my best to relish ever moment.

Looking ahead to the New Year, I chose both a Latin word and a Latin phrase as my 2014 goal: AMARE which means "to love" and AMOR VINCIT OMNIA which means "love conquers all things". This is my 2014 goal and wish, to love more fully in every area of my life. Happy 2014!

I'm giving Project 365 another go this year. This is my fifth year doing Project 365, the purpose of which is to simply be able to look back on my life for years to come in daily pictures of our daily family life. For the past couple years, I haven't made it through an entire year with a shot from everyday. However, I have not regretted a single shot I have taken over the past five years. I am especially thankful for all of the shot of my parents that I took without much thought of the future. There are many of those shots I have today because I decided to take a picture everyday for Project 365. 

If you're looking for a challenge or a New Year's Resolution, Project 365 may be a great fit. It's a rewarding challenge, and it's a lot more fun than exercising. :)

New Year's Dreams - Punky Sprouts Blog Hop & Giveaway

Welcome to my stop on the Punky Sprouts New Year's Blog Hop. For my project I dug into my stack of Instagram prints to make a mini album of some of my New Year's dreams with a few snapshots from this past year. 2012 was such a rough year, I'm still struggling to get back into some sort of new normal, not to mention diving back into scrapbooking. 365 for a New Year

Wow! It's easy to get behind when you go on a nice long vacation right before the holidays! So for the sake of giving myself catch up time, I decided just to start my 365 pictures for 2011 fresh. Now that I have all the time in the world to catch up on the last six weeks of 2010, I can focus in on the new year.

What better way to start the new year than with a frozen moment in time. The girls on the very first day of 2011... oh how fast the time goes! Wasn't it just yesterday when they were little? It never ceases to amaze me just how much of a blessing they are each day. They've changed my life in every way, and I'd never exchange it for all the money in the world. There are blessings beyond description that come from being a mom... I am thankful for these two big blessings.

Speaking of blessings, I couldn't go without this one... I love this man with a love beyond measure. He is my partner in life and in faith, my most trusted companion, my best friend, the love of my life. I am the luckiest girl in the world because of him.
