watermelon, watermelon in a dish

so it's obvious that i'm a big fan of gymboree. (yes, hide that shocked look on your face!) i love that they have clothes for girls that look like kid clothes. i admittedly have issues with my girls dressing too grown up for their age. and dang it all, if it's not just plain cute.

to make a long story longer, one of the things i love about gymboree is their staff. we're on a first name basis (yah, they see me a lot.) anyway, they take good care of me, always make me laugh, and several have girls the same age. funny the places we find friends sometimes. anyway, i'm completely rambling! all this to say that when i got the email with this super cute watermelon dress, i called them to ask if they'd hold it for me until i could come pick it up (that would be 2 matching dresses, size 9.) of course with a little playful banter they did. when i went to pick them up this week, they were held for "the fabulous noel." lol. i'm not sure about that fabulous part, but i'll take what i can get. :)
anyway, now that i've rambled on and on about nearly nothing at all... i'll just shut my mouth via my fingers and leave you in peace. hee hee.

are you surprised... i couldn't keep my mouth shut very long. lol. wanted to give another shout out for my favorite girl's hairdo blog. 'cause mindy is an amazing mom who does some sweet hairdo's on her girls, and shares the easy to follow how to's on her blog. she's even got a little giveaway going right now, so check her out if you've got girls with hair. :)

Adorable! Those are some cute, cute dresses on some cute, cute girls!

I hear you on not wanting them to look like teenyboppers. I have a hard time with fashions available for girls these days that resemble adult style clothing.

And I sometimes wish my girls would tolerate my playing with their hair like you do your daughters. I have one who would probably cry during the whole attempt at creating one. She cries when I touch the brush to her hair, let alone run it through! LOL

I love that watermelon line too. Any ideas for the 4th of July? I wasn't crazy about Gymbo's stars and stripes line...

Sigh. All I get to buy is polo shirts, t-shirts, jeans, and shorts. Boys are so boring in the clothes department!

You are too funny. I hit them on Tuesday, too, and left with alot more than I planned on. LOL

They girls look very cute, as usual, and I do love that dress. I wish they had it in Natalie's size, but no luck.

Found your blog yesterday hopping around. I love it. I too am a Gymboree addict. I only have one little girl but I love how they create lines for girls that keep them little girls. I will for sure check out the hair do site. I love your photos too they are inspiring.

Cute dresses. I loved dressing my daughter in clothes from Gymboree too. I really miss shopping there. Size 9 -- I hate to tell you that your days are numbered.

You are the FABULOUS Noel, ;).
and I love that you dress your girls like girls. more moms should follow. I am shocked at some of the styles I see for "girls" and cringe. I think, thank goodness I have boys.

those watermelons are so so cute!
