went on another great bike ride today with my
mom and the girls. we went 11 miles today, and started at the opposite end of the trail we'd been riding. i realized that we were pretty darn close to the end on our sunday ride... makes me wish we'd gone just a bit farther. now i need to figure out a way to bring my camera on the bike. any ideas?
so the picture of the day was a quickie of emma in her tie-dye shirt she made at school.

I have a Tamrac backpack camera case which holds my camera and an extra lens and has extra compartments for other goodies:) I picked it up at Amazon.
I was going to suggest a backpack too. I am going to buy one for me next week. I hate my canon bag it keeps falling off my shoulder. Besides I'm a backpack girl anyways! :)
how about a fanny pack - that should work and not be heavy on your back
you need a basket for the front of your bike, I have one, I love it. and my kids love putting their stuff in there too!
Rapid Strap. (http://www.blackrapid.com/) Rigged right it keeps your camera on your back, but quick to access without having to dig it out of a backpack (also, no big sweaty spot on your back!). It will hold a few extra CF cards, & a battery. I LOVE mine, and use it for weddings, and other events. If you want to try mine out (or take a look at one in person without driving to Seattle) drop me a line.
adam, that looks really handy. i'm wondering if it's hard on your shoulder at the end of the day. looks really handy!
Nope. Even with a 70-200 2.8 it's WAY better than a neck strap. (I have the Single sling). I love that I can carry a bat & spare cards. I toss a 2nd lens (if I need it) in a little Tammarac bag that velcro's/snaps on my belt. All day at the aquarium with my 28-70 2.8 and I didn't notice it at all. I was able to run down my 3 year old without it swinging around like some kind of mid-evil weapon. FB me if you want to see it!
noel,
is there a local trail in stanwood or camano, or are you going to centennial in arlington ??
jamie,
today i rode around my neighborhood on camano, but mostly we've been hitting the centennial trail out of arlington.
