the heart of the matter
i've had a couple of weird heart issues the past couple of weeks. random times where my heart starts racing irregularly at random. so i went to the doc today to have some tests done. ekg, x-rays, blood test... the works. well, they sent me home with this handy dandy heart meter thing. i have to wear it for the next 24 hours, and hopefully it'll catch one of the weird heart deals. if not, i get the privilege of wearing it again! lucky me! lol. so far, no crazy heart issues, so unless something happens in the next 14 hours, looks like this baby will be with me again. the doc said it was probably nothing serious, but wanted to find out what was going on if they could. so now we get to wait and see.

you just wanted some more attention...but at least you didn't take a ride in a handy dandy ambulance :)
LOL Jackie!
at least a holter is not painful...maybe a new fashion statement :)
hopefully just a little post Disney jitters & it won't come back
keep me posted :)
Well, at least if it all turns out OK, you won't have to worry about the palpitations if they continue. He can give you a medication that will control them if you like.
Oh, wow! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts. I'm sure everything will be fine!
This happens to my DD sometimes too! She had a stress test done a couple of years ago, which came out fine. He was going to give her a monitor to wear too but she figured its so infrequent that it probably would be a waste of time. I am betting yours is just fine too! Take care!
I hope everything is ok, Noel.
hey, you are featured at hostess with the mostess today. I guess you know but thought I'd give a heads up anyway.

I'm off to hostess w/ the mostess to check you out! =)

Amanda
geez! i hope it is nothing!!
How nerve-wracking! I sure hope it all turns out okay. At first the device looked like an "old fashioned" Walkman! Do you even remember those? You're so young, I'm not sure if you would!
Anyway, will be thinking good thoughts for you that all is fine!
When you get the results and everything is negative, GO have your hormones checked. I know you are young, but pre menopause can have cardiac systems as well. As estrogen and progesterone are doing their own chemistry experiment in your body. Go to a practioner that follows Dr. Christine Northrups plans of treatment. (Oprah just finshed a big show about this). GOOD LUCK!
Hey Noel, You don't know be but I "met" you from the CKMB. And started reading your blog. You have amazing pictures. I was curious if you ever found out what your heart problems were?
Casey
thanks for checking in casey. we haven't found anything out about the heart stuff. all of my test have come back fine. so they're still trying to catch it on the monitor.
Oh. I was wondering just because I have been going through similar problems. Thanks for the info. :)
hopefully they can catch it, so they can figure it out casey. good luck with yours too!
