write them on the doorframes of your heart

our church is in the process of building a new building. the framing beams (if that's what they're called)... so our whole church went out and wrote bible verses and prayers on the beams of the new building today. a very cool moment for our church.

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
deuteronomy 6:6-9

we headed down to seattle for the start of our vacation today. our first stop was dicks burgers in seattle. celebrating 55 years of drive up yumminess this year.

We did this at our church about five years ago when our new building went up except we wrote them on the floor (that would be covered with carpet later) so we could be "Standing on the Promises"! Very meaningful.
