another day - another trip to the e.r.

another day
another trip to the ER

well, the day after the drunk driver hit stan, we went by the chiropractor... but before we could even stan on the table he blacked out. so one firetruck and two aid cars later. they loaded him up and took him back to the ER for the second time in two days.

well, we'd been planning to take some pics of the car for the insurance today. so lucky for us i had the camera in tow. in our half a day spent at the hospital we got some fun pictures.

all of the major tests came back ok. now i'm just trying to keep the do-it-yourself man resting and recovering!

there's us being goofy while waiting for the doc. stan's still strapped to the back board. poor guy was on that baby for a couple of hours.

we just thought it was funny that when they wheeled him into the CT scan they gave him a hall pass.

apparently pain meds make stan's pupils REALLY small! i took this pic in the hospital so he could see how small they were. and a quick shout out to the amazing {and very funny} nurses in the the providence ER {and really, nurses everywhere} thanks for making our day there full of laughs... being great about our constant caravan of visitors... and taking such good care of stan! you guys are great!

Noel,
I am so glad to hear that he is ok! I can't believe that happened to him! Prayers for a speedy recovery and with no future problems. I'm also sorry to hear about the car. :( I hope the guy that hit Stan sits in jail for a long, long time.

Hi Noel. I have not commented on your blog for several months. For some reason my computer would not bring up your blog...now I have a new computer. I was the scrapper putting together a scrap room in a one room schoolhouse. I am putting the final touches on the inside. Anyhoo...Happy New Year. I look forward to reading your blog again. I am glad Stan was ok...love those pictures! Priceless!

Holy cow. That first picture made my heart stop. I'm glad he's o.k. Really glad. Hopefully he'll just take it easy for a while and let you pamper him a little. Anything he thinks he needs to do will still be there when he's well! I'll keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers.

OMG - what a way to end the year! I'm glad he's not seriously hurt, and that the drunk got what was coming to him! I hope you all have a SAFE and healthy year in 2009!!!

Glad Stan is OK Noel, and you seem to be handling it well as well.
Which Providence ER were you at?

So glad to hear Stan is OK and doing better. My DH always wants to get up before its time too. But I don't think its just a guy thing because I've been up trying to do wash and get my own food with a broken foot that was supposed to be elevated at all times... LOL
Wishing you and your family the best of 2009, Nicole.
Happy New Year!

Hugs,

Thanks for all the prayers. The best part of the whole experience was bringing a little laughter to that ER room. It truly is the best medicine. Also the doctor assured me that the CT scan results were positive on the existence of a brain in my head. You don't know how good that makes me feel. Something went right!!

I'm glad Stan has a brain. ;)

Noel, feed the poor guy so he doesn't pass out any more. He's a big guy, he needs more points! LOL!

Seriously, I'm glad that he's OK. Take it easy!!

Wow, so glad to hear he was all right. Humor is definitely good medicine. And the hall pass picture cracked me up--what kind of mischief did they think he would get into in the hallways, LOL?
