sneaking in a sunrise

sneaking in a sunrise

one of my fondest memories of growing up were the little moments that i had with my parents. when i was a kid my dad would occasionally wake me up in the wee hours of morning (more like the middle of the night) and take me out for hot chocolate at dennys. we'd sit up at the bar and talk about life. i felt so grown up and important... and loved. it's funny how those little moments seem to add up to more than all of the big planned events combined.

this morning emma and i got up early to have some coffee and enjoy the late summer sunrise.

she told me all about the dream she had last night. she was on a beautiful beach and there were jewels and gold for sand, like waving gold in the water. you could breath under water and there were real mermaids... and their tails were sparkly... and it was beautiful.

Noel,

That is such a sweet memory to pass on down. I thought those pictures were precious.

I was actually watching the sunrise this morning and it was beautiful.

Noel,
That was so precious. You are SUCH a cute mom, I hope that when this little one comes that we can make our own special memories like you have done with your girls. Thank you for sharing this with us, and Emma is seriously so cute.

Noel, you don't know me, but I "stalk" your blog (as my husband says) because you are so creative and inspirational.
I loved your post and the pic of your daughter at the end of the post was priceless. Don't you love that sleepy, dream-filled look that little one's have in their eyes when they first wake up? It's my favorite. Take care...Lori

I read your blog all the time too (started when you were a SOY finalist). What a great dream and how awesome to capture it in writing before it slipped out of your minds. Also, that is one crazy beautiful view!!
