Visual Triangles

New trend alert... triangles. Well, maybe it's not exactly a new trend. I'm not always up with the times, but I catch on eventually. Either way, triangles seem to be a graphic pattern that's making appearances all over these days. I started this layout intending to use it for last week's rhinestone theme, but halfway through I decided it would be better suited for this week's triangle theme.

I started by adding several of the triangle patterned papers from Glitz Design's "Finnley" line from both the 12x12 and 6x6 patterned papers. Next a dabbed some paint onto the triangle pattern on the "Raven" Roller Doodle stamp. To add a few more subtle triangles I cut freezer paper with a star punch, then snipped the points off the stars to make free floating translucent triangles.

Painted Fingers & Projects

Although I'm not one to keep my house exceptionally clean, much to my husband's dismay, I do generally keep my hands clean when crafting. In the last two weeks of Glitz projects I've managed to branch out and get my fingers stained with all kinds of goodies. After some experimenting with some various media for our challenge, I settled on playing with paint daubers for my project. I used a yellow Ranger Paint Dabber to brighten up the doilies and to daub a small section of the roller doodle. The paint only took a few minutes to dry and added to the cheery color of the "Wild & Free" elements.
