yippy skippy

yippy skippy

scrapbook

so i promised i'd finally get some scrap projects up this week. and well, i got one up. does it count as two if it's a two page spread? yah, i didn't think so either. the pictures and journaling were laid out in photoshop, then just printed right onto an 8.5 x 11 sheet of photo paper. it's such a great way to perfectly crop/resize all of your pictures for a layout in one shot.

the photo of the day was from the navy base. i drove stan out to the base to get checked out by the navy docs. while we were there i got a pic of this sign. he flies the p-3 orion, so i thought it would be a fun pic to have in our stash. :)

last year's christmas cards

{last year's}
christmas cards

for the last two years i've had such a hard time deciding on just one family picture to send out with christmas cards. to appease my indecision i made little booklets with pictures from the entire year. i made them on my computer and had them printed at a local copy store.

the cover was printed double-sided on 65# cardstock, cut in half length wise. the inside pages were printed double-sided on text weight paper, and cut into quarter sheets. to keep things simple, i just stapled the edges of the booklets. the inside pages were all the same design, the page was simply flipped so the flourishes would be on opposite corners on facing pages.

a few random pages

(digital page)

i am totally digging teal right now. i was just remembering wearing teal a lot in the 80's & early 90's... when my girls were walking to the bus with their cute little teal shirts on. funny how everything seems to come back around again. :) anyway, thought i'd post a page about our favorite local park, where we camped just this last weekend. (i'll have some pics of our trip up this week hopefully.)

(hybrid page)

i love this picture of my grandma and emma. their hands together are just too sweet. i hung out with my grandma almost every week growing up, and i'm loving my girls getting to enjoy that too.

(hybrid page)

sorry the pictures on the hybrid pages aren't great. anybody have suggestions for a scanner that pics up color well. mine is kind of hit and miss. i'm really wanting to get a new photo printer sometime... the epson r1900 is still calling my name.

and as a side note... you can find a couple of published pages this month. one in ck and one in memory makers. :)
