Christmas Joy with Glitz Designs

Merry Christmas! I hope all of your preparations for this joyous season are well underway and you are enjoying the blessing of family and friends.

After a year filled with so much loss and change, it's been a bit of a challenge to get back into a crafting spirit. Even sorting through photos has been difficult. As I looked through Christmas photos to scrapbook, I realized that I had no pictures of my parents from last Christmas. They were both healthy then, but didn't really like having their photo taken. Last Christmas I didn't force photos on everyone. I wish I had. Here is my subtle plea to those who do not like to get in front of the camera, you never know when it will be the last moment you have to capture that memory. We're never promised the next moment, so seize the one you have before you and live it to the fullest.

Now onto the Glitz goodies for the month. For this month's projects I've made a couple of layouts with the Joyeux Noel line, then using some of the scraps from the layouts I made a couple of Christmas cards. I may be even more partial to this Glitz line not only for its classic Christmas beauty, but also being that it bares my name. I can't help but love it.

To add a cut out title, on a scratch piece of paper, print your desired title out as a mirror image (reversed). Gently tack it to the back of your patterned paper, and cut along the outline with an xacto knife.

These are just beautiful Noel. I love the expression Emma's face. :) I miss the days of the Am. Girl dolls. Brit was so into them. This summer, she packed at all away! I have floor to ceiling totes of it all in the basement.
I can relate to your plea. My FIL passed away 8/2011. He did not like his photo taken and I don't have any fairly recent ones. I am not sure if I have any from his last 6 mo. He was another that didn't like his photo taken.
