the new house blik & picture day

the new house blik
and picture day

the walls & end tables in the living room are all painted, and we put up our new blik this week. we mapped it all out and put it up. i'm not sure what it is about stan and i that makes us figure we need to start these projects at 11pm... but it goes up fast and looks so cool when it's all done.

my handsome handyman helping blik it up

the finished project. well, the living room isn't entirely finished, but the wall is put together anyway. now for drapes... anyone have any suggestions of cool drape selling places?

the girls on picture day... or after it. i wanted to get a shot of them after school, but before the daddy/daughter wrestling match started.

right after the cute little poses... they turned into kung fu ninja fighters... hiding behind very small trees and making goofy faces.

kung fu torrey showing me her fierce warrior face. i'm thinking it's more like shots for the boyfriends later on...

Almost all of my curtains are from IKEA and Target. If you don't have an IKEA near you, check online. Love that yellow wall color.

LOL! Such dainty little ladies you have there...and yes, good for future boyfriends, or wedding embarrassment! A mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do...
Love your bright yellow walls! We have one wall in our living room that is a goldenrod color. Just makes the whole place seem happier.
Good luck on your drape hunt!

Great pictures of the girls, you are right, they will be fun to break back out in a few years and will make for some good laughs!

Your living room looks SO cute. I love the blik! Those are too fun. Are they hard to put on, or fairly simple? I need something to go over my stairs and those are just too cute. Are they permanent? Love the pics of the girls too, they are too cute.

wow! those walls look crazy bright yellow in these pictures... it's really more of a mustard type color.

about how easy they are to put up:
for all of the blik we put up, it took stan and i a little over an hour to do all of them. and they peel right off when you're done. we tried that theory out this summer when we pulled them off the wall at our old house, and they peeled right off with no damage! yahoo! so much easier and cooler than wallpaper!

Did you say, "shots for the boyfriends later on," or "shoot the boyfriend later on"? You really need to clarify...for his sake.
