getting closer...

there were a lot of questions about stan's homecoming. it's still coming up. (this was a pic from the last homecoming in '06.) we have about a month left. which sounds like a lot but really... we're 5/6 of the way there. :) (i'm trying to keep it positive!)

i always think that this is one of the hardest parts of the deployment... the close but no cigar stage... but it's getting a little closer everyday. and now we can say, "he'll be home next month!"

*note to stan... i'm missing you terribly today. hope we can talk tonight.*

I'm so excited for your little family! You should make a paper chain or something with your girls to help count down the days. ;)

Oh Noel I so know how you feel. I hate the "hurry up and wait" game. I hope that the days pass quickly for you and the girls! You all will be in my thoughts!

Noel, may this last month fly by so you'll be resting in the arms of your DH soon. Until then, rest in God's arms... may he quiet your heart today. {{HUGS}}

I love that picture. There is nothing that compares to reuniting with you and the girls after these long deployments. No matter how many times I leave, each homecoming strikes a chord deep within my soul and nothing drives me to my knees like the sight of my beloved family after six months of separation. I love you guys. It won't be long now!

Noel, I have recently come upon your blog. What talent you have! Congratulations on homecoming! As a Naval officers' wife, I completely understand! I often feel the last month of deployment is the hardest ... so close, yet, oh so far away! Hopefully, you have a wonderful wardroom to keep you on the spot! There is nothing more wonderful than the first kiss!

Thinking of you.
