taking a break

taking a break

now i am not one who loves cleaning. i am not even one who likes cleaning. and forcing myself to clean and organize usually comes only when there is really no other option... well, the end of the line came today. my scrap room has needed to be cleaned for weeks... i have bags of things that aren't put away, piles on my desk of schtuff i've pulled out for projects and haven't yet resorted. piles, piles, piles... well, the power kicked off suddenly this afternoon & with no computer to distract me, i started cleaning. now, while i'm not done, i have made some progress. but i can only force myself to clean for so long. so i took a break to do a little something with some of the supplies i had unearthed. :) forgive the pictures... i am lacking natural light at 1am... ::wink:: **edited to add: i got a chance to take pictures with some natural light, so now i've got the better set up.**

sweet home card supplies:
cardstock: wausau paper; number stamp: glitz designs, roller doodle; patterned paper: scenic route (green), sassafrass lass (orange); tag & chipboard circle: making memories; rub on: basic grey wholly cow; letter stickers: american crafts (black), adornit by carolee's creations (red); paper lace: creative imaginations; other: orange pompom ribbon & staples

hanging out card supplies:
cardstock: stampin up; patterned tape & crystal flourishes: prima marketing; flower: bazzill; ink: tim holtz for ranger

I have been spring cleaning too. The phrase "it's going to get worse before it gets better" works for what I have been doing. I keep telling hubby that the end result is really what matters. Love the cards!

Yeah I need to clean and organize. I started to organize my scrap room, and today it all fell apart. It is finals week so I am REALLY stretching myself this week. Next week though, I will have my degree and be DONE with school:) Cute cards, I love them.

Love the cards! I think the pictures came out just fine. I often take my pics late at night too, so I feel your pain. Of course, I can't take as good of pictures as you, you truly have a great talent, oh, and the dslr helps a lot too! lol

i'm loving the 'haning out' card. very inspired! i noticed the word schtuff... i use that world every day. it's in my low german dialect that i speak. do you speak any german or is this just a coincidence? :) i'm glancing at all my schtuff throughout my house, (that's right, not just in the scraproom) and deciding that i'll be in denial just a while longer and tackle it some other day. :)

I had to clean my sr the other day it was just overwhelming...lol...I guess I had been scrappy and hadn't noticed how much was out of place. It looks and feels great now. Glad you got the chance. Love your scrappy goodies.
