the king of our castle
i joined the get a L.O.A.D. of this (LayOut A Day) FREE class over at big picture scrapbooking the other day. today was the first day of class. there are no real rules... just to scrapbook a page a day & to have fun. two of my most favorite things! :) so i decided to try something new & make my first acrylic album. so here is the cover & page 1... they are so much fun!!! i'm totally loving it. it's a very different animal when your pages interact with each other. anyway, just thought i'd share my first day of class project. oh! and happy first day of '08!
supplies: acrylic album: rusty pickle; printed transparency & yellow rub-on: hambly; printed tape: prima; cardstock circle sticker: creative imaginations; fabric label & acrylic paint: making memories; letter stickers: ek success (small rectangles) and basic grey (orange letters); word rub-ons: october afternoon; plain transparency: stampin up

just gorgeous! i joined the class, too...i have to get busy on today's layout :)
So cute! I have thought about experimenting with acrylic albums, but I don't think I'm ready yet :) Can't wait to see how yours turns out! Great job!!
This is a great LO! You will love the acrylic album. I created one as kinda a move and challenge from traditional scrapping. I followed a tutorial on Retrospection blog. I bought everything to do another, but have gone digitally crazy.
From the Jessica Sprague forum, I was looking for your LO for LOAD and ended up at one of your galleries where I saw your WW LO! You have inspired me to get off my, well, you know and finish! I am still going to WW, but have been really not focused for a month so gained 10 lbs. Yes, in one month! You look fabulous!
It's good to be the King!
I wanted to do this so badly, but I just can't commit the time; so I will live vicariously through you! This is beautiful as always. Stan looks pretty content!
I've had a blank acrylic album for about a month. Too busy and probably too scared to do anything with it. Yours is looking great ~ cute cover & first page! Please keep sharing your progress with it.
